Mission Statement
EcoHacker.World exists to serve as a hub for the research, resources, and writing about various topics that are fundamental to a maintaining a habitable biosphere on this rock floating through space through ecologically sustainable, economically affordable technology and the free sharing of knowledge that can help us all build a livable world together.
This mission will include many different subjects in many different areas and as a result this place is named EcoHacker.World because it will ultimately contain a world of information about the state of space, time, history, and reality as we best currently understand it.
A Note from EcoHacker
I am creating this site at the outset to be something aspirational in order to keep the focus sharp. The habitability of the biosphere on our sun's only terrestrial planet with liquid water and an atmosphere that happens to have enough Oxygen and not too much dangerous or suffocating gas...
That's not guaranteed...
The Earth has had many climates. Originally not much Oxygen.
In fact, Oxygen caused the climate to collapse.
Multiple times.
Bacteria stocks EXPLODED when they figured out photosynthesis, but that produced toxic Oxygen and they processed out all the Carbon Dioxide so much that the temperatures dropped and the Earth froze pole to pole!
"Snowball Earth"
Look it up, there is evidence of glacial activity around the tropics and the atmospheric chemistry of the time would have made it very cold and the only way they broke out was a massive explosion of volcanic activity which may have been bottled up pressure blasting out of the Siberian Traps
Point is...
Bacteria are powerful and stupid enough to wreck the entire Earth's climate and cause their own extinction. They still do the exact same thing in stinky puddles to this day!
Don't be like bacteria.
Learn to live sustainably, today!
